Powder River Log Cabins are authentic, small, handcrafted and historically reflective works of ART.   Each cabin is uniquely built and designed to meet the desires and inspirations of the owner.   We believe in tradition and quality, so we DO NOT USE MILLED LOGS.   Each log is individually selected, embodies its own character and finds its special place in the cabin.    Logs are hand-peeled with care, combining centuries-old traditional methods and tools with modern approaches to design and building.  

Cabins can be used for guest cabins, hot tubs, saunas, meditation/yoga studios, children's play areas, gentleman's game rooms, craft and hobby rooms, or simply a peaceful retreat for reading and relaxing.  

Lumber used in the construction of our cabins can be sturdy and are highly sustainable if bark beetle or other dead standing trees are used in the construction.   Pine, spruce and other logs can also be utilized.   The size of the cabin is determined by your needs, and the pricing of these cabins is based on the design.   Each cabin is handcrafted by log artisans, adds to your property value, and will become a treasure passed down to your great grandchildren.

There are Three Building Options for a Powder River Log Cabin

1.     LOG SHELL ONLY:    This option involves only the shell of the log cabin.   The shell is constructed and then shipped to your site location.   You and/or your builder do the preparatory work in pulling permits, building a foundation, assembling the logs, constructing a roof and finishing out the cabin.

2:     LOG SHELL DRY-IN:   This option includes the log shell, assembling of the shell on your site, roof framing, weatherproofing, window and door installation.

3:     LOG CABIN TURN-KEY:    This option includes site prep, excavation, foundation, log shell & assembly, roof framing, weatherproofing, chinking, windows, doors, trim, flooring, staining, and other finish work.   This option and the finish work are completed to your specifications.

All log cabins must meet code requirements for your area and building site.

SPECIFICATIONS of the Peak 7 model cabin include:

•  14" to 18" logs for wall logs- FULL LOGS along all walls, NO   SPLICES!

•  18" to 22" logs for roof members

•  Chink style using Sashco Log Jam

•  Round notched corners

•  Exterior logs burned to create an aged appearance

•  Milgard sliding windows

•  Reclaimed 2" oak plank front door with period hinges

•  Beetle killed tongue and groove random width boards for ceiling(rough sawn) and floor (planed smooth)

•  Buff colored flagstone under wood stove

•  Rusted metal corrugated roof

•  Allowance for settlement

CUSTOMIZATION:   Customers may choose to customize their own cabin, and our builder will work with you to meet your needs.

SHIPPING:      Cabins can be shipped anywhere in the continental U.S.
